Memphis Theological Seminary is proud to announce that it has received a $125,000 Sustainability Grant from the Lilly Endowment to continue the institution’s Financial Leadership in Ministry (FLM) Program! The seminary was one of 16 similar institutions to participate in this round of funding.
The MTS Financial Leadership in Ministry program trains pastors and other church leaders in financial literacy for themselves and their respective congregations. The sustainability grant will allow the FLM program to expand into the wider community and build and develop collaborative relationships entities such as financial planners and lending institutions.
“We are pleased to receive this gift during our Ministry for the Real World Campaign. The Lilly Endowment recognizes that MTS is an institution focused on changing the lives of those that need it most through our mission of Scholarship, Piety and Justice. Being the best stewards possible of this generous contribution will be our top priority as we build on our successful Financial Leadership in Ministry Program”, said Keith Gaskin, Vice President of Advancement.
